Job Description

At Beautiful Life Care, we are dedicated to empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fuller, more independent lives. Through individual support, community integration, and a compassionate approach, our clients reach their highest potential.

Role Description

Companions at Beautiful Life are responsible for supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities in the community.

We provide a service and an opportunity for our clients to engage in activities in their community.

The companion will assist the client in using skills necessary to interact with others in public settings.

Experience with human services, compassion, and a desire to improve the lives of others are required.

Shifts are part-time and flexible.

Day, Nights, & Weekends.

Qualifications

Experience in Human Services and Intellectual Disabilities support
Strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities
Training experience in similar roles
Ability to work independently
Empathy and patience when working with individuals with disabilities
Certification or degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (APD Training ***)
One-year hands-on care experience required
Federal / Local BG Check
Valid Driver's License
Registered, Insured Vehicle
