Job Summary:
A Meat Cutter is responsible for butchering, trimming, and preparing various types of meat. The role requires an understanding of different cuts of meat, proper handling and storage practices, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Essential Job Functions:
- Work alongside our experienced butchers, learning the skills needed to become a master in meat preparation.
- Make customers smile as you assist them with meat selection and offer friendly, helpful recommendations.
- Use knives, saws, grinders, and slicers safely and properly.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and hazard-free.
- Weigh, wrap, and label meat products accurately.
- Ensure our products meet the highest standards of freshness, quality, and presentation.
- Help maintain inventory, stock shelves, and keep your workspace clean and organized.
- Follow all safety guidelines to maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Work as part of a team to meet daily goals.
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Proficiency in English is required; Spanish skills are a plus.
- Non-slip shoes are required for safety (not provided).
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Reliable transportation is a must.
Physical Requirements
- Capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds with ease.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods while maintaining focus.
- Manual Dexterity: Skilled in both fine and gross motor tasks, essential for meat preparation.
- Peripheral and near/far visual accuracy to ensure quality and safety.
- Able to hear and respond effectively to instructions and customer needs.
- Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and move fluidly in a busy environment.
- Comfortable working in cooler temperatures and with cleaning agents.
- Able to handle a variety of fresh ingredients without adverse reactions.
- Confidently use step-stools and ladders as needed.
- Maintain stability while handling tasks with care.
- Clear and effective in conveying instructions and working with the team.
- Capable of reaching below waist, at waist, and overhead to access and manage products and equipment.
