We are seeking a Legal Assistant Secretary to become a part of our Downtown Hollywood law firm. You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Excellent organizational and communication skills and close attention to detail are a must. Computer proficiency is required, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Florida Portal E-filing and time management software. Candidates must be able to manage multiple tasks. Prior experience with estate planning, real estate or business law firm is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls
- Clerical: scanning, copying, faxing, and filing
- Maintain attorney calendar/docket and monitor deadlines
- Record billable time
- Maintain client files
- Greet clients and schedule appointments
- Work with others in a team environment
- Sort and distribute mail
- Order office supplies
- Handle all other administrative duties as assigned
- Conduct research to support legal proceedings
- Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a legal assistant or other legal field
- Familiarity with legal research
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
