PrideStaff is looking for an experienced Quality Control Technician for a busy manufacturing client. This is a full-time temp-to-hire assignment.
Location: Fort Myers, FL
Pay: $17/hr.
Schedule: First Shift - 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
Quality Control Technician Job Responsibilities:
Inspection and Measurement
- Inspect raw materials, in-process items, and finished products.
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other tools to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
- Identify and document non-conforming products or components.
Process Monitoring and Improvement: - Monitor production processes to ensure they adhere to established standards.
- Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process to improve quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns.
Documentation and Reporting: - Maintain detailed records of inspections and tests.
- Generate reports for the quality manager, highlighting defects and suggesting improvements.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with relevant documentation proceduresTechnical Skills:
- Proficiency in using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of basic electrical assembly and testing processes (preferred).
Quality Control Technician Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a Quality Control position in an electronics/manufacturing role or similar environment.
- Associates Degree in Electronics a plus but not required.
- Ability to read schematics and use testing equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Basic math skills required.
