Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and accomplished Landscape Construction Manager to join the team at M. Hudson Design team. Anticipated start date would be September 2025 but we are ready to hire the right candidate now and arrange the specific date together!
This leadership role involves overseeing landscape architecture projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The Landscape Construction Manager will play a critical role in managing all landscape installation projects. This includes planning, implementation, and allocation of resources, procurement budgetary oversight, ensuring compliance with regulatory safety regulations, internal and external stakeholder communication as well as ensuring quality control standards.
Construction Managers are required to be versatile, multitaskers, displaying exceptional leadership abilities, and evidence enthusiasm to assume new and challenging opportunities.
Responsibilities include:

Oversee the entire project from defining project scope, developing comprehensive project plans, allocating resources to ensure on time project delivery, scheduling and managing staff and subcontractors, as well as implementing change orders.

Create and monitor project budgets, financial reporting, ensuring safety compliance and quality control, as well as ongoing communication with both external and internal stakeholders.

Ensure proper adherence to policies set by the client, and M. Hudson Design.

Interpret design and project contract specifications, coordinate landscape features per schematics, and ensure plans are implemented to client satisfaction. plant layout per design and ensure plans are met and maintained to customers' complete satisfaction.

Facilitate regular team sprints and keep communication channels open through the project to monitor project progress and potential risks to ensure deadlines are met or process revisions are made.

Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

Coordinate projects with construction crew, subcontractors, clients, and internal management to ensure projects move forward successfully. companies, and employees to ensure projects move forward efficiently.

Schedule staff, maintain attendance records, enforce compliance with safety regulations, and approve schedules, and engage in disciplinary actions as may be needed.

Manage internal and external stakeholder communication to include clients, vendors, and suppliers, as well as third parties, such as insurance firms or permitting agencies.

Provide impactful leadership and encouragement to all team members.
Minimum Qualifications:

BA or BS degree in Construction Management, or related technical field

At least 5 years of experience in the residential landscape construction industry.

Experience in managing projects, preferably on behalf of a landscape architecture or construction firm.

Expert-level knowledge of the construction process, with strong understanding of project management methodologies; PMP preferred

Experience in developing cost projections, managing budgets and financial reporting

Solid organizational skills, including detail orientation, and ability to successfully manage competing priorities.

A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all involved parties (client, A/E (accident and emergency), contractors and team members)

Ability to successfully work under tight deadlines and effectively manage multiple activities and motivate teams to work collaboratively to meet project timelines and in an efficient and cost-saving manner.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, codes, and regulations

Proficiency with Google Workspace: Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Meet and Zoom
Compensation:

Base: $95K to $125K

Annual performance bonuses (up to 30% of annual salary)
