Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities: May include the following activities:
· Basic knowledge of CNC machinery, including Vertical/Horizontals Mills, and Turning
· Set up CNC machines according to job specifications, including loading materials, selecting appropriate tools, and programming machinery.
· Operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, milling, turning, or grinding.
· Monitor machine operations and inspect parts to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
· Make necessary adjustments to machine settings and tool offsets to maintain part accuracy and quality.
· Conduct routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
· Troubleshoot issues that may arise during production and collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve them.
· Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
· Collaborate with the programming team to optimize CNC programs for efficiency and accuracy.
· Always adhere to safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements:
o Proficiency in operating various types of CNC equipment and tools (Horizontal Mill, 4 & 5 Axis, Mill Turning, and/or Swiss experience a plus)
o Proven experience as a CNC Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
o Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent quality standards.
o Ability to read and understand measuring tools.
o Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
o Ability to follow safety guidelines and protocols rigorously.
o Effective communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
o Time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet production deadlines.
· Education, experience, certifications
o High school diploma or equivalent.
o Technical Training or certification in CNC machining is a plus
· Physical and mental demands
o Ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
o Comfortable working in confined spaces and wearing the necessary PPE.
o Capable of working in various environmental conditions, including noise, dust, and vibration.
o Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
o This position is on site, no remote work option.
