This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the nation’s most respected law firms, known for its sophisticated clientele, collaborative environment, and long-term professional development opportunities.
The successful candidate will provide dedicated legal and administrative support to two Partners and two Attorneys, assisting with a wide range of corporate legal matters and transactional processes. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to two Partners and two Attorneys within the Corporate group.
- Draft, revise, and format legal documents, including agreements, corporate governance records, closing binders, and SEC filings.
- Coordinate busy attorney calendars, schedule meetings, arrange travel, and manage conference calls.
- Assist with time entry, billing, and expense reporting in accordance with firm policies.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical legal files for corporate transactions.
- Coordinate closing logistics and compile post-closing documentation.
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments (billing, records, docketing, etc.).
- Handle special projects and additional tasks as requested.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a legal assistant supporting corporate or transactional attorneys, preferably in a large law firm or Am Law environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with document management systems (e.g., iManage or NetDocuments) is a plus.
- Strong organizational and proofreading skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling confidential client information.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
