Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A school-based Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in Apopka, FL, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract role starts immediately and runs through May 29, 2026. The position offers opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules, with caseloads spanning elementary, middle, and high schools. Some part-time roles may require itinerant services across multiple schools based on assignments.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services for speech and language disorders in K-12 students.
- Designing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborating with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
- Participating in IEP meetings, progress monitoring, and reporting.
- Ensuring services meet the requirements of Florida state licensure and ASHA standards.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
- Current Florida State License to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Experience working in school settings preferred but entry-level candidates are welcome.
- Ability to work on-site with possible hybrid flexibility.
Locations of service include several elementary, middle, and high schools, with part-time roles potentially requiring travel between schools.
