You will be expected to perform general repairs and maintenance of equipment, ensuring optimal operation while supporting the compounding and mixing team members. To excel as a Full-Time Mechanic Helper at PMG Holding LLC, you must possess a diverse skill set tailored to the demands of our manufacturing environment. A strong mechanical aptitude is essential, along with the ability to operate various equipment such as compressors, pumps, and forklifts safely. You'll need to demonstrate proficiency in using hand and power tools for general repairs and maintenance, ensuring that all tasks are performed in accordance with safety rules and practices. Attention to detail is critical when loading tanker trucks, transferring materials, and conducting Quality Control checks. The ability to read and interpret operation manuals, follow step-by-step instructions, and effectively communicate with team members will ensure seamless collaboration. A valid driver's license is necessary, and experience in hydraulics or mechanics is preferred. The role also requires physical stamina and a commitment to maintaining a clean, organized work area while contributing positively to a team-oriented atmosphere.
Your day-to-day tasks will include moving tankers to the loading area safely and ensuring wheels are chocked prior to loading. You'll be responsible for transferring materials from batch tanks into the tanker trucks and ensuring hoses are connected properly. Additionally, you'll read meters to ensure trucks are loaded with the correct material and volume. Understanding the safe and proper use and operation of equipment such as compressors, pumps, vacuum systems, pneumatic door openers, tanks, motors, hoses, valves, silos, and forklifts will be essential to your role.
