We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with proven experience in the mining industry and strong bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish). Key Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and optimize mechanical components and systems for heavy mining equipment (haul trucks, excavators, drilling systems, etc.).

Oversee installation, commissioning, and maintenance of machinery at client sites.

Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and hydraulic issues in mining environments.

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards across all operations.

Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (engineering, service, operations) in both English and Spanish.

Provide technical training and support for equipment operators and maintenance teams.

Prepare technical reports, manuals, and presentations for internal and client use.

Lead or contribute to projects for equipment upgrades, modifications, and efficiency improvements.
Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering (Masters a plus).

Minimum 5+ years of experience in the mining industry or with heavy equipment manufacturers/suppliers.

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial machinery.

Proficiency in English and Spanish (technical vocabulary in both required).

Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD/design software.

Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work in mining environments, with flexibility for travel and field assignments.
Preferred Background

Experience with companies in heavy equipment manufacturing (e.g., Komatsu, Caterpillar, Liebherr, Hitachi).

Familiarity with open-pit and underground mining operations.

Hands-on involvement with fleet management systems and advanced mining technologies.
