Full-Time: Monday to Friday 7am to 3pm
BACHELOR'S DEGREE REQUIRED with 2+ years of relevant social services experience, working in a residential setting, including in a leadership capacity.
Must be able to effectively use crisis intervention techniques.
Must have driver's license in good standing.
The Shift Supervisor is responsible for providing care and treatment as outlined in the client’s treatment plan and functions as a member of the client’s treatment team as outlined in the policy and procedures manual. The Shift Supervisor will provide direct supervision to assigned direct care staff on shift & unit.
- Monitor unit supplies and communicate with Managers to ensure unit is stocked on supplies.
- Escorts clients safely to activities or appointments on or off campus as needed
- Supervise employees & ensure team adheres to established guidelines for client care in residential
- Collaborate with Shift Supervisor to complete Monthly Activity Calendar
- Complete Special Counselor audits in 10e11 weekly
- Assist Special Counselor with client birthday celebrations
- Oversee New Residential Counselors during initial 80 hours of job shadowing
- Review daily meal roster & monthly meal count & submitted to Dietary each month
- Bulletin Boards – assign staff, with client assistance, to keep up to date
- Participate in staff interviews, when needed, for leadership training
- Review Client Inventory as needed.
- Track employee’s attendance & provide appropriate counseling in conjunction with manager
- Assist and/or facilitate Monthly Team Meeting
- Perform supervision to assigned team members on assigned shift
- Complete employee 30/60/90 day & annual performance reviews for direct reports
- Perform Camera Reviewsas needed.
- Complete Peer Reviews as assigned
- Review all shift documentation daily and provide training to staff on assigned shift
- Review ESI/Incident Reports on your assigned shift and assist team members with completion
- Participate in Campus Trainings as assigned
- Performs other duties that may be assigned
- Prep New Admission Paperwork & Assigned designee to participate in admissions in your shift
- Complete New Hire Paperwork for assigned New Hires on your shift
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree Required with 2+ years of leadership capacity.
- 2+ years' experience working with children in a residential setting or with behavioral/mental health needs
- Valid Florida driver’s license in good standing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Intermediate Level Computer Skills,
- Strong organizational skills, Time Management
- TBRI trained (Must complete within 90 days of employment)
Physical Demands
The employee will be required to talk, hear and see; be able successfully complete Crisis Prevention & TBRI training which requires physical components, including bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting, to ensure the safety of clients and staff; stand, walk and sit for extended periods of time.
