Role Summary
Hands-on Maintenance Leader role supporting a high-volume, 24/7 bottling operation with a highly automated, high-tech packaging line. You own maintenance execution, planning, scheduling, reliability, and team performance for the line. Daily floor presence is required.
This is not an automation engineer role, but does require automation/controls experience. You must have strong maintenance leadership skills, solid electrical fundamentals, and the ability to communicate effectively with OEM technical support teams who are not onsite. Supports a highly automated, high-speed bottling line with advanced OEM equipment. Experience with Sidel bottling and packaging lines, or comparable high-speed beverage systems, is strongly preferred.
This role is a replacement position.
Work Schedule
- Standard schedule: Monday–Friday, days
- Flexibility required to support a 24/7 facility
- Plant operates on 12 hr shifts using a 2-2-3 rotational schedule
- Must adjust schedule as needed for nights, weekends, planned downtime, and critical events

- Reports to: Bottle Line Business Unit Manager
- Overall team size: 3 total leaders supporting the line

- Technicians report directly to a Maintenance and Reliability Technical Manager
- You lead day-to-day execution, coaching, and accountability
Compensation
- Base salary: $100K–$110K
- Flexibility up to $120K for an exceptional candidate, limited by internal equity
- Annual bonus: 13% target, with upside up to 200% of target
- Sign-on bonus: Potentially available to bridge compensation gaps
- Relocation: Lump sum $7,500
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling
- Review, prioritize, and approve all work orders within 24 hrs
- Maintain a clean, accurate CMMS backlog for reporting and decision making
- Lead weekly and monthly maintenance scheduling meetings
- Build schedules aligned to the annual maintenance plan
- Coordinate planned stops and integrate all maintenance activities
- Adjust daily plans based on production changes and job completion status
Daily Floor Execution
- Lead daily maintenance floor and DDS meetings
- Review prior work completion, breakdowns, and schedule adherence
- Drive accountability for quality, safety, and execution
- Partner closely with Line Leaders and Process Engineers
- Maintain strong, visible floor presence
Reliability and Continuous Improvement
- Lead breakdown analysis and corrective action implementation
- Drive Breakdown Elimination initiatives
- Monitor and improve Preventive Maintenance effectiveness
- Experience working within an Integrated Work Systems framework, including DDS, AM, PM, CIL, centerlining, defect handling, and pillar team participation. Drives standard work, loss elimination, and continuous improvement through IWS routines and metrics.
- Support AM, CIL, centerlining, and defect handling activities
- Track maintenance KPIs and in-process measures
- Develop and execute reliability improvement plans
- Present maintenance KPIs and progress to site leadership monthly
Technical Leadership
- Serve as maintenance subject matter expert for the bottling line
- Provide technical guidance during complex troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with OEM technical support and field service teams
- Support new equipment installs, upgrades, and process changes
- Participate in vendor acceptance testing and commissioning
- Provide maintenance input on equipment design and modifications
Documentation and Standards
- Own maintenance technical documentation for the line
- Ensure drawings, schematics, and procedures are current and accessible
- Create and maintain One Point Lessons
- Train and qualify technicians and operators
- Enforce formal Change Management for all equipment modifications
Parts and Storeroom Collaboration
- Partner with storeroom on inventory levels, quality issues, and obsolescence
- Monitor parts usage trends and maintenance cost drivers
- Support continuous improvement of spare parts strategy
Leadership and Coaching
- Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians through dotted-line influence
- Support development of other maintenance leaders
- Participate in PM pillar teams and site PM system ownership
- Set clear expectations and reinforce accountability
- Build strong cross-functional relationships
Safety and Performance
- Enforce all safety standards and compliance requirements
- Promote and sustain a strong floor-level safety culture
- Deliver SQCDMN targets daily, weekly, monthly, and annually
Required Technical Capabilities
You must have a solid foundation in electrical maintenance and hands-on troubleshooting.
- Ability to independently configure and support:
- Variable Frequency Drives
- Servo motors
- Basic instrumentation
- Working knowledge of PLC concepts sufficient to troubleshoot and communicate with OEMs
- Experience supporting or leading maintenance on Sidel bottling lines or comparable high-speed beverage packaging equipment, including effective communication with offsite OEM technical support teams.

Education and Experience
- 4-year engineering degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 3–5 yrs manufacturing experience with demonstrated technical leadership
- Experience in a 24/7 manufacturing environment preferred
- High-speed packaging or bottling line experience strongly preferred
- Exposure to highly automated equipment required
