Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is sought for a full-year contract position serving a K-12 school environment in Homestead, FL. This role supports an outpatient pediatric clinic focusing on school-aged children with speech and language needs. The position involves working with a primarily mild to moderate caseload, including children with high-functioning autism, ages 2 to 18.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to children with pragmatic, receptive, expressive, reading, writing, articulation, and autism-related challenges
  • Conduct one-on-one sessions with students, seeing one child per hour
  • Plan and implement individualized therapy programs focusing on developmental delays and communication skills
  • Collaborate with staff to ensure consistency and best practices in care delivery
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for school and healthcare settings
  • Experience working with pediatric outpatient populations preferred
  • Familiarity with speech and language disorders, including autism spectrum disorders and articulation delays
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to follow therapy plans and implement individualized interventions effectively

Location: Homestead, FL - no travel required
