Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available serving K-12 students across multiple schools in Port Saint Lucie and Ft. Pierce, FL. This role focuses on providing specialized speech and language services within a public school setting, supporting a diverse caseload, including middle school and K-8 students. The assignment runs from January 5, 2026, through June 2, 2026.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students in assigned schools, including Dan McCarty Middle School, Forest Grove Middle School, and Oak Hammock K-8.
  • Conduct evaluations as part of the Private School Evaluation Team at the district office in Port St. Lucie.
  • Collaborate with educators, administrators, and support staff to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Manage caseloads independently, particularly on days when no other SLP is onsite.
  • Support special programs such as the DHH Cluster Site at Oak Hammock K-8.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all regulatory and district requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required for evaluation duties.
  • Experience working in school settings preferred, particularly with K-12 students.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work both full-time and part-time schedules as assigned.
