Job Description

Overview

CTG is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and platform-level systems for our client.

Location: Sunrise, FL
Duration: Ongoing Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs using Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Fastify, or Express.
Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Workflows.
Develop serverless architectures on AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.
Ensure backend security, observability, and performance monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
Contribute to platform scalability, API gateway management, and developer productivity initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks.
Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and serverless architectures.
Knowledge of backend security, CI/CD pipelines, and platform-level system design.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.

Preferred / Bonus:

AI platform concepts (MCP, RAG), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
