Overview

CTG is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, develop, and maintain scalable microservices and platform-level systems for our client.

Location: Sunrise, FL
Duration: Ongoing Contract

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs using Node.js, JavaScript, TypeScript, Fastify, or Express.

  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Workflows.

  • Develop serverless architectures on AWS Lambda or Azure Functions.

  • Ensure backend security, observability, and performance monitoring (OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).

  • Contribute to platform scalability, API gateway management, and developer productivity initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Strong expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks.

  • Experience with microservices, cloud platforms, and serverless architectures.

  • Knowledge of backend security, CI/CD pipelines, and platform-level system design.

  • Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools.

Preferred / Bonus:

  • AI platform concepts (MCP, RAG), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
