In-House Real Estate Attorney

About the Company: A privately held management company is seeking a highly qualified Real Estate Attorney for an Associate Counsel opportunity. LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY

Responsibilities:

• Negotiate, review and draft complex commercial real estate purchase and sale agreements, commercial real estate lease agreements, construction agreements, easements, and Letters of Intent for projects throughout the United States.
• Conduct all due diligence for acquisition and disposition of real property (including survey, environmental and title review).
• Advise construction team on zoning, permitting, site selection and land use matters.
• Attend zoning meetings and oversee applications for zoning and land use changes.
• Manage disputes pertaining to construction defects, project delays and other real estate matters.
• Review and negotiate commercial real estate financing agreements.
• Prepare, negotiate and review complex commercial agreements (including marketing and advertising agreements, SaaS agreements, franchise, privacy, technology, data sharing, and licensing agreements).

Qualifications:

• Licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
• Strong academic credentials and 10+ years of transactional commercial real estate experience in a top tier law firm and/or in-house legal department.
• Ability to effectively manage outside counsel.
• Must have a strong work ethic with the ability to produce and manage a heavy workload and meet tight deadlines.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in an ever-changing challenging environment.
• Travel required.
