Job Title: Medical Technologist
Location: Panama City, FL
Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shifts:

Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (rotating weekends)
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Technologist to perform laboratory testing in specialty departments such as Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in lab procedures, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. New graduates with clinical experience or laboratory assistant experience are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and interpret results

Receive specimens and manage inventory and supplies

Troubleshoot and resolve instrument issues, documenting corrective actions

Ensure quality control procedures are performed and documented

Train new employees or students as needed

Participate in phlebotomy and accessioning responsibilities

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with laboratory standards
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field

MT/MLS registry required to start (ASCP or equivalent preferred)

FL state license required or applied for (training may be provided based on experience)

US work authorization required

Strong foundation in laboratory procedures; clinical experience or work as a lab assistant preferred

Reports to Laboratory Manager and Supervisor
