Job Summary

The Parts Manager is responsible for ensuring that parts and supplies needed for production are available for team members. To be successful as a Parts Manager, you must be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, and anticipate the needs of production workers to ensure that all materials needed for production are provided.

Responsibilities

  • Forecast goals and objectives for the parts department
  • Hire, train, and monitor the performance of all parts department staff
  • Maintain inventory consistent with the requirements of the various departments
  • Create pricing guidelines for customer categories
  • Monitor and adjust inventory and supervise stock orders
  • Guarantee all parts are properly tagged
  • Work closely with service manager/body shop manager to ensure timely turnaround of parts
  • Provides technical assistance when necessary
  • Enforce guidelines for working with customers to ensure maximum customer satisfaction
  • Enforce safety requirements

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years GM experience in parts management
  • Technical automotive knowledge
  • Management experience and skills
  • Computer literacy and strong communication skills
  • Basic understanding of inventory and reporting
  • Valid driver's license and willing to submit to pre-employment background check
