Position Summary
As our In-House Employment Attorney, you will provide legal counsel on internal HR matters and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. You’ll play a key role in minimizing legal risk, resolving employee disputes, and shaping workplace policies that reflect our commitment to equity and fairness.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide strategic legal counsel on employment law and HR compliance

Draft and revise employment-related documents (e.g., policies, handbooks, severance agreements)

Advise on disciplinary actions, terminations, internal investigations, and dispute resolution

Coordinate with external counsel on litigation or EEOC complaints

Conduct training sessions for HR and leadership on employment regulations and best practices

Stay current on legal and regulatory developments and recommend policy updates

Collaborate with leadership to assess legal risk in organizational planning and initiatives

Maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in all sensitive personnel matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Florida Bar license (Required)
- 5–10 years of experience in employment law (nonprofit, government, or corporate in-house preferred)
- Strong understanding of federal and Florida employment law
