Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Engineering Field Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support project managers, staff engineers, and field managers by performing soil and construction materials testing. The position is predominantly field-based, requiring work outdoors at undeveloped project sites, which may include heavily wooded areas and standing water, and perform other duties as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 months of experience in construction or a related field
- Experience coordinating or assisting drilling crews.
- Ability to operate and maintain a company motor vehicle.
- Ability to effectively communicate job status and site conditions with supervisors.
- Familiarity with soil sampling, drilling, or field testing.
- Ability to perform field work including site reconnaissance, hand auger borings, and soil sampling
- Must be able to lift up to 40–50 pounds
- Comfortable working in outdoor environments (heat, uneven terrain, wooded or wet areas)
- Willingness to travel out-of-town for short-duration assignments.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Coursework or training in construction, engineering, or technical fields.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans.
