Job Description
The Preventative Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in ensuring the continuous and efficient operation of the textile care processing facility equipment. This position is responsible for performing scheduled maintenance and collaborating with the Service Technician to communicate mechanical and electrical issues. By maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities and parts usage, the technician supports long-term asset management and operational reliability. Ultimately, this role contributes to the overall productivity and safety of the textile care processing environment by ensuring all machinery operates at peak efficiency.
Essential functions

- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on laundry equipment and machinery to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities that align with manufacturing operations.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and inventory of spare parts and tools.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist Service Technician with repairs as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to maintenance procedures.
Competencies:
- General knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience in maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software.
- Adherence to safety protocols and attention to detail ensures a secure work environment and compliance with industry regulations.
- Ensure adherence to all Company Policies and Processes.
Supervisory responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
Industrial textile care processing facility with regular exposure to industrial machinery, possible noise, and respiratory pollutants. Wear PPE as required: uniforms, safety eye wear, masks, gloves, respirators, work boots, hard/bump hats, fall protection and ear protection demonstrating overall compliance with OSHA guidelines.

Must be able to physically bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections. Demonstrate visual acuity to inspect products and manual dexterity to perform repairs. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds in the form of boxes of supplies or product components.
Ability to operate a motor vehicle is required.
Required education and experience:
- Requires knowledge ordinarily acquired from a high school diploma and related experience in an industrial environment and/or a technical certification or diploma in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- OSHA 10 Certification
