Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Receptionist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves supporting a non-profit organization in Miami, Florida, and requires a strong ability to manage patient interactions, administrative tasks, and medical software systems. The ideal candidate will bring exceptional organizational skills and a focused demeanor to ensure seamless clinic operations.
Responsibilities:
• Greet and check in patients with efficiency and courtesy.
• Manage inbound calls, addressing inquiries and directing calls appropriately.
• Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Allscripts and Cerner.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-up visits.
• Handle billing functions, including verifying insurance details and processing payments.
• Utilize dental software like Dentrix and Eaglesoft to support dental clinic operations.
• Create and update charts, graphs, and other documentation as needed.
• Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Assist with administrative support tasks to streamline office workflows.• Proven experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role in a healthcare setting.
• Proficiency in EHR systems, such as Allscripts and Cerner.
• Familiarity with dental software, including Dentrix and Eaglesoft.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of billing processes and insurance verification.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in patient record management.
