Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for an Elementary Self-Contained Special Education Teacher position located in Jacksonville, FL, serving an elementary school setting. The contract runs from January 5, 2026, through May 28, 2026, with full-time hours of 35 per week (7 hours per day). The role involves leading a self-contained classroom for elementary-aged students with varying learning levels and exceptionalities.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead an Elementary self-contained ESE classroom
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students unique needs
Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student learning and development
Monitor and document student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly
Address behavioral and academic challenges using appropriate interventions

Qualifications:

Active Florida Special Education (ESE) certification
Valid Florida certification in Elementary Education (K-6) or Early Childhood Education (PK-3)
Experience working with students with diverse exceptionalities in an elementary setting
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to create an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Location:

On-site assignment at a single elementary school in Jacksonville, FL
