Job Title: Legal Administrative AssistantLocation: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301Job Type: Direct Hire – 100% OnsitePay Rate: $20–$22/hour
Overview:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Administrative Assistant to join a reputable legal team in downtown Fort Lauderdale. This is a full-time, onsite direct hire opportunity ideal for someone with strong administrative skills and a background in legal support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal staff
- Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents and correspondence
- Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate court dates
- Maintain and organize physical and electronic filing systems
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and client communications professionally
- Assist with billing, time entry, and expense reporting
- Perform legal research and document retrieval as needed
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with legal procedures
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in a legal administrative or legal assistant role
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology and document formatting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional legal training or certification is a plus
Pay Details: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour
