- Design scalable, field-serviceable systems per UL508A, NEC, and other standards.
- Periodically troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues during installations or maintenance both on-site and remotely.
- Integrate sensors, relay logic, and power distribution systems into new or existing hardware.
System Hardware Design & Testing
- Design, build, and test prototypes, control panels, enclosures, plumbing, and other mechanical hardware.
- Make informed, first-principles-based decisions across multiple systems and products, bridging the gap between hardware and software design.
- Perform functional testing, I/O verification, and component validation.
- Prepare technical documentation for both internal and customer use.
Embedded Systems & Software
- Develop utilities and tools using Python, Bash, C/C++.
- Build and manage embedded Linux environments for industrial applications.
- Configure bootloaders, daemons, and network settings (static IPs, firewalls, SSH).
- Use Git for version control and workflow management.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in electrical design tools (WSCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, or EPLAN).
- Experience with industrial sensors, PLCs, and Modbus communication (RTU/TCP).
- Comfortable with Linux CLI tools and Docker deployment.
- Hands-on experience with soldering, prototyping, and panel assembly.
- Mechanical, plumbing, and other hardware design experience is a plus.
