With a rich heritage dating back to 1863, they are committed to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the aerospace industry. We are looking for experienced Jig & Fixture Maker who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!


Job Description:

  • Tracks and schedules maintenance on weld fixtures.
  • Maintains and updates tooling database as needed to reflect design changes and storage location moves.
  • Conducts weld fixture maintenance, inspections, and cleaning.
  • Reviews weld and production tooling for worn or broken components.
  • Uses machine tools (Lathe, Knee Mill, etc.) as needed to make fixture repairs and modifications.
  • Communicates progress and findings to the weld engineer, production supervisors, and quality supervisor.
  • Works closely with the weld engineer to plan scheduled tooling maintenance time.
  • Completes tooling validation adjustments as directed by quality supervisor.
  • Collaborates with manufacturing and design engineering on tooling best practices during product reviews.
  • Manages on-hand inventory of repair components and restocking.
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned by supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma (or equivalent) required and 2+ years of experience. Preference for education or work experience in machining.
  • Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatic systems and repair.
  • Experience using manual machine tools (Lathe, Knee Mill, etc.).
  • Mechanical troubleshooting experience preferred.
  • CAD software experience.
  • Understanding of MIG welding process, equipment, and tools.
  • Experience diagnosing and repairing pneumatic and electrical systems preferred
