POSITION OVERVIEW
The Athletic Coach instructs and works with athletes to prepare them for games and competitions.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Assists with preparing and conducting individual and team practices, pieces of training, and competitions.

Teach and instruct all aspects of the game

Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes

Works with other Athletic Coaches in general and specific coaching procedures, methods, and techniques.

Provides technical support and training to athletes, as appropriate to the sport.

Assign specific positions and come up with drills and organized game strategies.

Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, and on buses

Encourage student participation and establish rapport

Maintain equipment and uniforms

Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required

Experience in coaching specific sports is preferred
