Aviation Construction Manager / Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Construction Manager/Coordinator to support horizontal and civil infrastructure projects within a multi-billion-dollar Airport Capital Improvement Program.
The position supports the full project lifecycle—from planning and design coordination through construction, commissioning, and closeout—while maintaining safe, continuous airport operations. The ideal candidate has experience delivering airfield, roadway, utility, or civil infrastructure projects in active aviation environments and excels in field coordination and stakeholder collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Support planning, design review, procurement, construction, and closeout of horizontal/civil projects.
- Serve as on-site Owner’s Representative ensuring compliance with design documents, FAA standards, and regulations.
- Coordinate daily with Airfield Operations, Public Safety, engineering, contractors, and regulators.
- Monitor field activities for safety, quality, schedule, and phasing compliance.
- Support contract administration, inspections, testing, commissioning, and change order review.
- Maintain project documentation, reports, schedules, and cost forecasts.
- Assist with risk management, interface coordination, and construction phasing to minimize operational impacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in horizontal or civil infrastructure construction; aviation experience preferred.
- Experience working in active operational environments (airfields, transportation hubs).
- Knowledge of CMAR or alternative delivery methods.
- Strong understanding of airfield safety, civil construction methods, and airport operations.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
Preferred
- PE, PMP, CCM, or similar certification.
- Experience with FAA standards and active airfield construction.
- Proficiency with project controls software and Microsoft Office.
