Quality Inspector (Product Acceptance Specialist)
Location: Hialeah, FL
Openings: 5
Pay Rate: $31.25/hour (lots of OT available)
Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Duration: 7-month contract
Citizenship Requirement: Must be U.S. Citizen or Green Card holder
Additional Requirement: Must pass color and near-vision exam
Position Summary
We are seeking Quality Inspectors to perform product conformance audits for aerospace parts. This role involves inspecting incoming parts, verifying certifications for outgoing orders, and ensuring compliance with processing and special order requirements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and experienced in QA best practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provide objective evidence of inspection results
- Perform auditing, surveillance, and monitoring
- Identify and document discrepancies; segregate and control non-conforming items
- Conduct preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Perform product reviews with customers during verification
- Identify repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiate corrective actions
- Daily use of micrometers, calipers, ring/pin gages, comparators, and other inspection tools
- Mentor team members on inspection processes
Must-Have Qualifications
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Experience inspecting small components (nuts, bolts, screws, gears, etc.)
- Proficiency with quality inspection tools: micrometers, calipers, ring/pin gages, comparators, etc.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Aerospace industry experience
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards
- First Article Inspection experience
- AS9102 knowledge
