Bonus - $3,000 for experienced techs paid out over 3 installments (30 days, 90 days 180 days).
The Service Technician is to provide support to the Service department and the customers we assist with their low voltage issues. The Service Technician’s responsibilities are as follows; Service and some installation of conduit, wire, and devices for various low voltage systems, mainly focusing on fire alarm, access control and video surveillance equipment. They must be highly motivated, and task oriented to see tasks through to completion. They must be a team player and excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Key Responsibilities:
The Service Technician is responsible for customer coordination in the field and repair of all systems and customer training. They shall work with the Service Coordinator and Service Manager to help schedule onsite resources, and ensure equipment and materials are correct and onsite when needed. The Senior Service Technician must also communicate well with internal and external customers. The Senior Service Technician will be responsible for completing all paperwork on all jobs done in SME (IFSS’ current service software).

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Certifications in IFSS’ areas of expertise or a successful 5 years minimum of demonstrated work history/knowledge as a service technician is
required. - NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems is preferred, but not required.
- Understanding NEC and NFPA current requirements is essential. They shall be able to troubleshoot panels, devices, and program various systems including, but not limited to, Notifier, Firelite, Silent Knight, Lenel, Open Options, DSX, Milestone, Salient, and DMP to name a few.
- They shall perform onsite review of previous repairs and quality control.
- The Service Technician shall maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending seminars and keeping up with industry changes and the latest proven technologies as well as attending factory level training classes when necessary.
Compensation:
$26.00 - $30.00 hr. depending on experience
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs, or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
