Bricks 4 Kidz Fort Lauderdale - Tutor (Instructors)
Do you enjoy working with children and teaching hands-on STEAM activities? Bricks 4 Kidz Fort Lauderdale is currently hiring After-School Class Instructors to lead fun, LEGO® bricks based educational programs for children ages 3–13.
Bricks 4 Kidz delivers engaging STEAM enrichment using LEGO® bricks, motors, and robotics. You bring your experience and enthusiasm for working with kids. We provide the training and curriculum.
This is a great opportunity for education majors, early childhood education students, child development students, engineering students, university students in related fields, schoolteachers, retired teachers, and individuals re-entering the workforce.
Schedule
- Availability required at least 4 days per week
- After school: 2:30 PM – 5:30 PM
- Daytime: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM (in-school workshops)
- Additional hours available for birthday parties, special events, and camps
Locations
Classes are held at multiple schools, meeting rooms, community centers, and libraries in:
- Plantation
- Fort Lauderdale
- Lauderhill
- Lauderdale Lakes
- Wilton Manors
- Davie
- Oakland Park
Pay
- $20 – $35 per hour, based on experience
Paid internship opportunities are available and may be listed as professional experience on your resume.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children ages 3–13
- Reliable transportation
- Strong organization and classroom management skills
- Ability to follow lesson plans and manage up to 16 students independently
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Punctual, dependable, and enthusiastic
Additional Skills (Preferred)
- Familiarity with social media platforms (such as Instagram, Facebook, or similar)
- Willingness to assist with basic social media content creation and management (photos, short videos, class highlights, or event promotions)
