Value Stream Manager F117

  • The Value Stream Manager is responsible for leading the overall after spinet operation for a large value stream within the engine MRO. This position is responsible for all aspects of maintenance execution including execution to a production schedule, managing work-in-process to avoid aging WIP, and personnel staffing and development.
  • As the lead of the Value Stream for the site operations team, the VSM is the primary interface for the program organization team and cross-functional guidance. The VSM will make strategic decisions for the direction of the value stream related to maintenance plans, including production planning and Cost Reduction Initiatives.
  • It is also imperative the VSM has a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the production organization concerned with the assembly and processing operations, including a thorough understanding of MRO related policies/procedures and quality and customer requirements.
  • Constant interface is required with both internal and external parties such as (CS, Engineering, Quality & External Customers and Vendors)
  • This role will be working 1st shift
  • This will be an onsite role in our Coral Springs locations.

Requirements:

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Education:

  • HS Diploma or GED required + 5 years minimum experience in an Engine MRO environment
  • Power plant certificates preferred but not required

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Assignments require advanced knowledge of all possible tasks and responsibilities within their technical area as well as a strong understanding of External Regulations and Functional Work Standards that affect Technical Requirements and Outputs.
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently while ensuring quality work.
  • Ability to work in a safe and professional manner.
  • Knowledge of FAA requirements for engine maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to interpret and comprehend manufacturer and FAA approved work package instructions; ability to inspect and install parts/components.
  • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repairs and maintenance.

Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements

  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including, OSHA, EPA, FAA, DOT, and State and Federal regulations.
  • As required by the position, must have the ability to wear a respirator as per OSHA 29 CFR 1910.134 "Respirator Protection" regulations with no restrictions that would prevent the proper use and/or seal of the respirator.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts if required
  • Employees will be subject to the random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations
