About Quest International

Quest International provides nationwide field service, repair, and technical support for hospitals, surgical centers, laboratories, OEM partners, and enterprise organizations. For over 40 years, our technicians have serviced A/V systems, electronic devices, electro-mechanical equipment, and medical support technology essential to daily clinical and operational performance.

We are committed to professionalism, technical accuracy, and strong customer service.

Position Overview

Quest International is seeking a Field Service Technician with hands-on experience supporting A/V systems, electronics, and electro-mechanical equipment. This is a field-based repair role, not an IT helpdesk or event A/V position.

The technician will travel throughout Florida to perform diagnostics, FRU-level repair, installation, and service of equipment used in hospitals and clinical environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair A/V systems and electronic or electro-mechanical devices

  • Diagnose issues using digital multimeters and appropriate testing tools

  • Perform FRU-level part replacement and hardware repair

  • Install and configure displays, mounts, cabling, and low-voltage components

  • Route and terminate cables (HDMI, USB, Coax, Cat5/Cat6)

  • Document work performed, parts used, and service outcomes accurately

  • Communicate professionally with hospital staff, clinical teams, and internal support groups

  • Travel statewide for scheduled and urgent service calls

Required Qualifications

(Non-negotiable)

Candidates must have:

  • 2–3+ years of hands-on experience with A/V, electronics, low-voltage, or electro-mechanical equipment

  • Proficiency using diagnostic tools (multimeter, testers, basic hand tools)

  • Experience installing or servicing A/V equipment (mounting, wiring, configuration)

  • Cable knowledge: HDMI, USB, Coax, Cat5/Cat6

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs., climb, kneel, and work in confined spaces

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Comfortable with frequent statewide travel

Preferred Qualifications

(Not required, but beneficial)

  • CCTV or low-voltage systems experience

  • Experience working in hospital or clinical environments

  • Electronics coursework, CompTIA A+, or similar certifications

  • Strong written documentation skills (Word, Excel, service notes)

Ideal Candidate Profile

You will excel in this role if you are:

  • Self-directed and comfortable working independently

  • Strong in mechanical and electrical problem-solving

  • Experienced in hands-on A/V or electronic repair

  • Calm under pressure and adaptable in the field

  • Customer-focused and professional in clinical settings

  • Comfortable with travel and a varied schedule

Why Technicians Choose Quest

  • Competitive hourly compensation

  • Consistent field work with varied equipment

  • Company-paid travel

  • Strong support and training

  • Pathways for advancement into Senior Technician, Lead, or Supervisor roles

  • 40+ years of industry leadership and technical stability

How to Apply

If you have hands-on experience repairing A/V, electronic, or electro-mechanical equipment and excel in a field-based environment, we encourage you to apply.
