We are seeking a dedicated General Laborer to join our team at an aggregate mining plant. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the efficient and safe extraction, processing, and transportation of aggregate materials. Your tasks will include maintaining equipment, ensuring machines are operational, performing general housekeeping duties, and assisting with the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment to ensure machines are running smoothly and not jammed.
- Perform general housekeeping responsibilities.
- Assist with the movement, loading, and unloading of raw materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment.
- Place products on and off conveyors and crushers.
- Conduct basic preventative maintenance checks.
- Clean machinery and assist maintenance teams as needed.
Essential Skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
- Experience in general labor, construction, or production.
- Skills in carpentry and concrete finishing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work outdoors for 12+ hours a day.
- Experience working outdoors.
- Team mentality.
- Ability to read and write English, and perform basic math.

Work Environment
Work is conducted outdoors with hours from Monday to Friday, and some Saturdays, from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including steel-toed boots, is required, while hard hats and gloves are provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Clermont, Florida.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $20.50/hr.
