As a full-time Groundsman at Brightwild, you help ensure our properties are clean, safe, and visually appealing from the moment guests arrive. Your work plays a key role in maintaining the high standards and welcoming atmosphere that define the Brightwild experience. You’ll be part of a team that values hospitality, attention to detail, and creating spaces that reflect the unique character of every Brightwild destination.

Pay Rate: $21 per hour

Work Hours: Full-time position requiring 32–40 hours per week, including weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.

Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Adhere to assigned work schedule with a high degree of reliability and punctuality.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
  • Perform job functions in accordance with established standard operating procedures.
  • Understand and follow all company policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Demonstrate high standards of personal grooming and appearance.
  • Maintain professional and courteous interactions with guests, coworkers, vendors, and management.

Guest & Team Interaction

  • Provide exceptional guest service by demonstrating a helpful and friendly attitude.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to guest complaints and notify management when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with all departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Foster positive relationships with resort departments, vendors, and community partners.

Safety & Compliance

  • Implement and adhere to all safety protocols and emergency procedures (e.g., evacuations, first aid).
  • Identify and report hazards, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions immediately.
  • Utilize appropriate protective equipment and follow OSHA and Hazcom safety guidelines.
  • Maintain wet floor signage and other precautionary measures when applicable.

Grounds & Facility Maintenance

  • Remove chewing gum and stains from all surfaces, including brick, concrete, and pool areas.
  • Pressure wash walkways, pool decks, stairwells, and driveways as needed.
  • Perform general outdoor cleaning, upkeep, and minor maintenance to enhance property appearance.
  • Ensure equipment is clean, maintained, and stored properly.

Training & Growth

  • Attend all required meetings, safety trainings, and development sessions.
  • Continue to develop skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Assist with training other employees as directed.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks or responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Support guests and staff with reasonable accommodations as needed.
  • Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.

Functions

Customer Service

  • Interact courteously and professionally with guests.
  • Ensure prompt response and follow-up to guest concerns or complaints.

Product Delivery

  • Maintain cleanliness and presentability of all outdoor areas.
  • Operate tools and equipment such as pressure washers and hand tools effectively and safely.

Safety, Sanitation & Security

  • Remain knowledgeable of emergency plans and procedures.
  • Take immediate action to address safety, sanitation, or security concerns.

Requirements

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience in the U.S.; valid driver’s license required.
  • Experience using small equipment (e.g., pressure washers) strongly preferred.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to proactively identify and address safety hazards.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety.

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting/Carrying: Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs frequently.
  • Mobility: Must be mobile 100% of the time; position requires movement across properties.
  • Standing/Bending: Frequent standing, bending, and kneeling required.
  • Climbing: Ability to climb stairs as needed.
  • Driving: Must be able to operate a pickup truck and travel between properties. Must possess a valid drivers license active for at least 3 years.
  • Chemical Use: Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and appropriate use of personal protective equipment.
