A healthcare professional with Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credentials is needed to provide health room coverage within a K-12 school setting in Daytona Beach, FL. This contract position supports student wellness by offering essential nursing care throughout the school day.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and address minor health concerns and injuries among students and staff
- Administer medications and treatments per healthcare plans and physician orders
- Maintain accurate health records and document all nursing care provided
- Collaborate with school staff to promote a safe and healthy environment
- Respond promptly to health emergencies within the school setting
Qualifications:
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license
- Experience in school nursing or pediatric healthcare preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently
- Knowledge of basic first aid and CPR principles
Position Details:
- Location: Multiple sites within Daytona Beach, FL school district
- Contract duration: Immediate start through May 28th
- Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week during the school year
