Position Overview
As an Occupational Therapist, you will evaluate and treat residents to improve functional abilities, independence, and overall quality of life. You will develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans while working closely with the interdisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
• Evaluate residents to identify functional impairments and therapy needs
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on ADLs and IADLs
• Monitor progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
• Recommend adaptive equipment and strategies to promote safety and independence
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation per facility and regulatory standards
• Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary meetings
• Maintain compliance with all facility policies and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
• Active Florida Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Good standing with all applicable licensing boards and agencies
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred
• Familiarity with Net Health documentation system a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
