Construction Superintendent - Medical Offices

Job Description

Construction Superintendent needed to oversee the ground-up and renovation construction of medical clinics. This role is responsible for managing all on-site activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with healthcare-specific standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare construction, including familiarity with medical equipment coordination, infection control protocols, and AHCA compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations for medical clinic construction projects, from site mobilization through final turnover
• Manage daily job site activities including subcontractor coordination, inspections, and progress tracking
• Interpret and execute architectural, structural, and MEP drawings with precision
• Ensure compliance with healthcare construction standards, including AHCA, ADA, and infection control protocols
• Maintain and update construction schedules, proactively resolving delays and conflicts
• Oversee installation of medical gas systems, specialized finishes, and clinic-specific infrastructure
• Serve as the primary on-site contact for clients, inspectors, consultants, and design teams
• Document daily reports, RFIs, change orders, and punch lists
• Enforce safety policies and ensure OSHA compliance across all site activities
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure alignment with budget, scope, and client expectations

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in medical clinic projects
• High school diploma required; degree in construction management or related field preferred
• Strong knowledge of local building codes and permitting processes
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in construction software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project)
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
