Our busy law firm is growing, and we are looking for talent that works hard to represent clients well. The prime candidate will work seamlessly with the senior partner as well as the administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. If you have excellent research and writing skills, want the ability to take on responsibility on cases and learn, can easily use today’s technology, and communicate effectively across all levels, we would love to connect!
Compensation:
$95,000 - $110,000 yearly
Responsibilities:
- Preside over paralegals, administrative assistants in connection with keeping track of time records, reviewing client billing, setting up client meetings and completing client projects
- Provide legal counsel to clients by analyzing their needs and determining a proper course of action
- Appear in court on behalf of clients and argue motions during legal proceedings
- Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis
Qualifications:
- Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
- Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years
- Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary
- Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required
- Must be a member of The Florida Bar in good standing
