Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive support throughout all phases of litigation
- Conduct legal and factual research using Westlaw and Lexis
- Manage discovery, including ESI, and coordinate document reviews and productions
- Draft pleadings, motions, notices, and assist in assembling and filing motion papers
- Support depositions, expert preparation, and trial logistics, including preparing notebooks and exhibits
- Perform cite-checking, proofreading, and ensure compliance with federal and state procedural rules
- Electronically file pleadings via CM/ECF (federal) and Florida e-Filing Portal
- Assist with post-trial filings, appeals, and maintain organized case materials
- Track billable time daily and support additional departmental needs
Requirements:
- College degree and/or paralegal certificate required
- Strong experience with bankruptcy litigation preferred
- Proficiency with MS Office, Relativity, Concordance, LAW, Best Case, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience with iManage is a plus
- Bilingual (Spanish) skills strongly preferred
- Exceptional organizational and communication abilities, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach
