About the Role

This is a hands-on role for a detail-oriented, client-focused paralegal who thrives in a busy but supportive environment. You’ll be integral to moving cases forward, drafting key documents, attending hearings and mediations, and keeping clients informed every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients and act as a professional, polished point of contact
  • Draft and proofread pleadings, discovery, financial affidavits, and other court forms
  • Coordinate and participate in mediations and court hearings
  • E-file documents in Florida’s e-filing system
  • Manage calendars, deadlines, and case progress
  • Prepare discovery responses, subpoenas, and trial materials
  • Answer and redirect phone calls, greet clients, and make them feel welcome
  • Assist with intake, file management, and file closing/archiving
  • Ensure accuracy, organization, and smooth workflow across the office

Requirements

About You

You are:

  • Experienced with 3+ years as a family law paralegal strongly preferred (Florida experience a plus)
  • Tech-savvy skills: proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, OneDrive, and ideally Clio (or eager to learn)
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and logical as you catch mistakes before they go out the door
  • Compassionate and client-focused because you know how to make clients feel respected and cared for
  • A self-starter who is able to work independently but thrive in a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck environment
  • Professional, poised and comfortable interacting with attorneys, clients, and court personnel

Education & Software

  • Associate degree, paralegal certification, or equivalent experience required
  • Microsoft Suite is a must with all programs
  • Familiarity with Clio or another legal practice management software platform, LawPay or similar billing systems preferred (training available)

  • Competitive salary $60K–$72K commensurate with experience
