We are seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced food production environment. The role is responsible for leading a team of production employees, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity standards are met while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, schedule, and direct daily production activities to meet production goals and customer demand.
- Ensure adherence to food safety, GMP, HACCP, SQF, and other regulatory compliance standards.
- Monitor line performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Train, coach, and develop production team members to improve skills, efficiency, and safety practices.
- Conduct shift meetings, communicate production plans, and maintain accurate records of performance and output.
- Partner with Quality Assurance to ensure product quality standards are consistently met.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, improving yield, and enhancing efficiency.
- Enforce workplace safety policies and ensure compliance with OSHA and company guidelines.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a food or beverage manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards (GMP, HACCP, SQF, FSMA).
- Proven leadership ability with excellent communication and team-building skills.
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
