Maintenance Technician

Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for keeping production and facility equipment in good working order. This role handles troubleshooting, repairs, and preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to reduce downtime and support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines, tools, and facility systems.
  • Diagnose issues using manuals, schematics, and basic test equipment.
  • Install, adjust, and replace motors, bearings, belts, sensors, gearboxes, and other components.
  • Assist with equipment upgrades, rebuilds, and improvement projects.
  • Keep accurate records of work completed, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
  • Follow all safety guidelines, including LOTO and proper PPE use.
  • Work closely with production and supervisors to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial, or facility environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Familiarity with conveyors, pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic PLC/controls is a plus.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various environments (heights, confined spaces, etc.).
  • Technical training or certification preferred but not required.
