The Floating Security Guard – (ROVER) Support is a dynamic role responsible for overseeing safety and security throughout the building and premises. This role entails circulating among designated areas within the building to ensure on-site coverage, as well as providing satellite support to other security personnel as required. The incumbent reports directly to their supervisor and will receive instructions from the Property Manager as necessary, in addition to the directives of the Board President.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform access control duties, including monitoring entry and exit points, verifying visitor and resident credentials, and enforcing security protocols.

• Conduct regular patrols to ensure safety, deter unauthorized activity, and report irregularities.

• Respond swiftly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies, ensuring timely communication and appropriate escalation based on severity.

• Provide supplemental support to fixed-post guards, covering staffing shortages, assisting in high-risk areas, or reinforcing coverage during peak activity.

• Remain adaptable to site-specific procedures and operational changes, aligning with each building’s unique safety needs and resident expectations.

• Maintain clear and professional communication with team members, supervisors, and other stakeholders, including emergency responders when necessary.

• Exhibit a high level of situational awareness, exercising sound judgment, discretion, and proactive problem-solving in dynamic environments.

• Assist with additional assignments and tasks as directed, including quick transitions between posts or roles based on operational priorities.

• Complete detailed incident reports and daily activity logs in accordance with company standards and legal compliance.

Requirements:

• Valid Class D Security License (Unarmed; Non-Carrying Site)

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Strong interpersonal and observational skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Physical ability to perform patrol duties, including walking or standing for extended periods

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, or holidays

Compensation:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Final remuneration will be discussed during the interview process with property management and all security supervisors.
