Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our residential team in Miami Beach, FL. This role is essential in ensuring the maintenance and overall functionality of our multi-family apartment communities. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a variety of maintenance areas and will be committed to delivering excellent service to our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- General Maintenance: Perform general maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs.
- Work Orders: Complete work orders and respond to resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Unit Turnovers: Assist with unit turnovers to ensure vacant apartments are rent-ready.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance to preserve the condition of the property and its equipment.
- Common Areas: Maintain all tools and maintenance equipment in safe working condition. Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of common areas, including painting and general repairs as needed.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors and property management staff as required.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all company safety procedures and protocols.
- Weekend & Emergency Availability: Must be available to work weekends and respond to emergency situations as needed, ensuring continuous property security.
- Trespassing & Tenant Management: Assist with addressing trespassing issues and managing disruptive tenants, including enforcing property rules and regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance experience, preferably in a multifamily housing environment.
- General knowledge of all aspects of property maintenance.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in varying environmental conditions.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Availability to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed for emergencies.
