Position Summary
New Hope CORPS, Inc. is a DCF-licensed Residential Level 2 Behavioral Health Facility seeking a qualified Certified
Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct care and supervision to residents receiving substance use disorder and
co-occurring mental health treatment.
The CNA is a non-exempt, direct care position and functions as part of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Services are delivered in accordance with Florida Administrative Code 65D-30, AHCA standards, and all DCF
licensing and personnel requirements, using a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented, and person-centered
approach.
- Essential Duties Responsibilities
Consistent with F.A.C. 65D-30 and agency policy, the CNA will: - Provide direct assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, grooming, toileting,
nutrition, mobility, and daily routines - Monitor and report residents physical condition, vital signs, and behavioral presentation to licensed
nursing or clinical staff - Observe, document, and communicate resident participation and progress in support of individualized
treatment plans - Maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic residential environment consistent with Level 2 supervision
requirements - Support resident compliance with program schedules, rules, and recovery activities while reinforcing
coping skills and appropriate behavior - Complete all required documentation, logs, shift notes, and incident reports accurately and timely
- Follow infection control, safety, emergency, and medication observation protocols as applicable
- Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, dignity, and ethical standards at all times
- Participate in required trainings, staff meetings, drills, and quality improvement activities
- Qualifications
Required - Active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in good standing
High school diploma or GED - Ability to pass and maintain a Florida DCF Level II background screening (Chapter 435, F.S.)
Ability to work effectively with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health
diagnoses - Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Ability to comply with all DCF, AHCA, and 65D-30 personnel requirements
- Physical Work Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and assist residents with mobility as required during daytime shifts
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency or behavioral situations
- Ability to work weekday and weekend daytime schedules in a structured residential setting
- Regulatory Employment Conditions
Employment is contingent upon: - Verification of licensure and credentials
- Successful DCF Level II background screening
