A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a pediatric outpatient clinic located in Miami, FL, serving children ages 2 to 18 within a K-12 school setting. This one-year contract position offers potential for extension or permanent placement and focuses on individual therapy rather than group sessions.
Responsibilities include conducting assessments and evaluations, delivering direct therapy, and participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings. The caseload primarily consists of children with mild to moderate speech and language challenges, including difficulties with pragmatics, receptive and expressive language, reading, writing delays, articulation, and high-functioning autism. There is no expectation to serve medically fragile children.
Qualifications:
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Pediatric SLP experience
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience working in school settings (K-12)
- Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and IEP collaboration
