Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain the backend of our marketplace using Python and Django.

  • Implement best practice Python/Django patterns and standards.

  • Write and maintain unit tests, with an appreciation for test-driven development.

  • Participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices.

  • Occasionally work full stack to support product and technical requirements, in a capacity suitable to your experience and skills.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Python type annotations and unit tests.

  • Experience with RESTful API design and development.

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL).

  • Experience providing high quality code reviews.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a distributed team.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker).

Nice to Have:

  • At least 1 year of experience working with Django.

  • Experience at a startup.

  • Experience in the ticket, concert, or sporting event industry.

  • Experience at a two sided marketplace.

  • Experience with Kubernetes (K8S)

  • Knowledge of front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript, React) to collaborate with front-end developers or work full-stack

What We Offer:

  • Hourly compensation $70-90 per hour.

  • Fully remote work environment.

  • Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative environment.

  • Chance to be a part of a growing startup and make a significant impact on the development of our platform.
