Job Description
The Estimator serves a vital function in the growth of a Construction Company. This professional is responsible for accurately calculating total costs associated with Construction Projects. An Estimator may also review bids offered by subcontractors in order to choose the most effective option. Estimators are responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that Management knows everything required to successfully bid and win the project. Estimators must aggressively follow-up with subcontractors to ensure that bids are received and also work with the Project Management teams to follow-up on bids and budgets to close the business.
*Requirements:*
* Minimum of 5 years commercial construction experience, preferably with estimating experience
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Must know Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Power Point
* Experience with Planswift
* Experience with Procore
* Must be able to manage multiple tasks and have excellent follow-up skills both internally and externally
* Must provide previous employers, and references
* Must be detailed oriented
* Ability to work independently
* Ability to create reports on costing data
* Ability to put together professional presentations
* Ability to work well on a team
* Ability to understand technical drawings and requirement
* Must be able to communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals
