Apprentice Diesel Technician – Davenport, FL
Sun State International Trucks is looking for an Apprentice Diesel Technician to join our team in Tampa, Florida! This is a great opportunity for individuals eager to develop their skills in diesel truck maintenance and repair under the guidance of an experienced Master Technician.
About the Apprentice Program
Our paid, on-the-job training program provides hands-on experience in a small-group setting within a designated area of our repair shop. Apprentices will:
✅ Learn diagnostic and repair techniques under the supervision of a Master Technician
✅ Gain valuable industry experience in a structured training environment
✅ Transition to their own bay on the shop floor upon completion of the program, with ongoing mentorship
Compensation & Benefits
???? Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour

Qualifications:
???? High School Diploma or Equivalent
???? Recent graduation from a Technical or Trade Program (preferred)
???? Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for learning
???? Ability to meet physical job requirements
Physical Requirements:
???? Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands/fingers, talk, hear, stoop, crouch, and kneel
???? Must be able to lift and move up to 100 lbs
???? Work in a well-lit environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions
